Let’s be honest – writing and sending thank-you notes is probably the least fun part of the beach wedding, especially if you had a lot of guests or you just don’t like writing. Hand written thank you notes are the best way to show your appreciation, so pick up the pen and get down to writing them! And don’t worry, it’s not as hard as it seems and your guest certainly don’t expect anything fancy or poetic. A simple and honest thank you is all it takes. Here is some advice to get you started:
Unlike the engagement party, that is usually the responsibility of the bride’s family, a rehearsal dinner is traditionally up to the groom’s side of the family. Now, some choose to have this while others consider it unnecessary so, don’t get angry if your in-laws are surprised when they realize they are supposed to host this event. Traditions differ not just from one country to another but between families too, so if you want it even though it’s not a standard practice in your area, skip the traditional mumbo-jumbo and do what many modern couples did – just host it yourself. But, let’s just go through some basic rules that are going to help you handle this like a pro.
The Final Count Down- the Last Days Leading up to Your Beach Wedding
With just a few days away from the big day, feeling nervous and constantly re-counting to see if you forgot something sounds like something anybody has to go through. Don’t worry, they won’t and your destination wedding will certainly be as beautiful as you have imagined it– you just have to be practical and think in advance.

Although most officiants traditionally wear robes or suits, the attire of your officiant can be matched to fit the style of your wedding. Since beach weddings are generally less formal and require special, beach wedding attire, it would be completely OK to consult the officiant and inquire about the regulations regarding his/her attire. When it comes to religious ceremonies and church representatives, officiant’s wedding attire is usually not negotiable so you will just have to take it as it is. However, a lot of couples find civil wedding ceremonies conducted by civil officiants much more suitable for beach weddings so why not giving it a thought too? Most officiants that specialize in beach weddings have their own attire and will be open for negotiations – after all, it’s your wedding and the only thing that matters is your satisfaction.
