Sizing & Color Help

SHIRTS STANDARD SIZING AND TAILORING

Tailor your sizing if you are in between sizes or disproportional somehow. Once measurements are taken, it is very important to compare all measurements to our size charts.

To tailor, we recommend using our detailed downloadable instructions, or our video. The video is a basic overview; while the PDF download is more detailed. We recommend comparing all measurements to our size charts (above) to confirm your measurements to standard sizing. There should be no more than a 2-3 inch variance to our charts, if there is, we recommend re-measuring or contacting us for help.

To tailor, first you have to press the “Design It” button from the product page, then press the “Tailor” button.

NOTABLE PROBLEM AREAS: Our problem areas for shirts when tailoring are always shirt length (sometimes sleeve length). For extra broad shoulders, large chest, large stomach; it is best to add on a couple of inches shirt length to counter the frontal “pull-up” effect.

PANTS STANDARD SIZING AND TAILORING

Verona Pant & Vilano Short: Our button style Verona and Vilano are standard sizing is what you usually wear/purchase at the store. If you measure (you may be surprised how large your waist truly is) please follow the chart here.

Velero Pant & Veradero Short: Our Velero and Veradero are relaxed fit. If you prefer a looser fit, order your size. If you prefer a more regular fit, size down. Follow our chart here.

Whether measuring at home or using a tailor, print and use our detailed downloadable instructions, or our video. To tailor, first you have to press the “Design It” button from the product page, then press the “Tailor” button.

NOTABLE PROBLEM AREAS: Our problem areas for pants when measuring and tailoring is the confusion of the waist vanity sizing that is the standard in the market. Every brand adds extra inches to the waist, it is just not a consistent amount among the brands. We too oversize our pants waist to keep up with this market trend to assure accuracy for off the shelf purchase. Refer to the charts for more information on actual pant waist measurements and how to measure your waist to make sure your fit is correct.

SUITS STANDARD SIZING AND TAILORING

Follow our downloadable pdf directions here. and apply to our size chart here.

To tailor, first you have to press the “Design It” button from the product page, then press the “Tailor” button.

NOTABLE INFORMATION ABOUT OUR JACKETS: Our suits are made a little generously, purposely. It is possible to take in, it is impossible to add if too small.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON TAILORING

Measurements can be taken easily at home with the assistance of another person or optionally a tailor can be used. Although we don’t recommend using a tailor, if you do we suggest printing out our measurement instructions, and make sure they follow our method correctly. We have had many issues in the past with customers using tailors. We emphasize the importance of obtaining accurate measurements.

Please make sure to compare your measurements to our size charts; then make a decision based on knowing your body and the degree at which each body category is usually incorrect for you with respect to standard sizes. Standard disproportionality should usually be no more than plus/minus 2-3 inches, and is almost always as mentioned, the length measurements are too short.

Tailored garments are not returnable. Please refer to our FAQ’s for more information.
